Wineries & Tasting
The Dubost Family left the Cherbourg region of France after the Franco Prussian War of 1871 to escape the violence of Europe. They were blacksmiths by trade and immigrated to the Paso Robles region in 1882, settling in what is known today as Adelaida. Adelaida at that time was a populous area with many miners and homesteaders and the Dubost’s operated a General Store, Post Office and Dance Hall to serve the neighborhood. They also farmed the ranch and operated the local telephone company until 1960. There is an historical marker at the site of the old store and post office commemorating the town of Adelaida and the role played by the Dubost family. Our wines are a reflection of our way of life. We strive to be good stewards of the land with which we have been blessed for five generations. The family vineyards and winery were developed and have achieved the goal of producing premium high quality wines which carry the family name and allow us to keep our family ranch for generations to come. To that end, we produce high quality wines that have garnered many accolades, gold medals, and 90+ point scores by various publications over the past 15 plus years. The winery, tasting room and vineyard are located on 320 acres of hillsides in the heart of Adelaida District 14 miles west of Paso Robles and 10 miles to the ocean. The climate and soils are perfect for producing premium grapes and our straw bale winery is a model sustainable production facility.
