I’m Gennan: It’s pronounced with a soft ‘G’ like George. I often tell people that my name is basically Jenna+Shannon, because no one ever knows how to pronounce it when they see it written. It’s derived from the same root word as  “genesis’ or “generation”. ;-)

I’m a passionate photographer with a deep love for storytelling through images, inspired by the ever-changing landscapes and moods of California. I grew up mostly in the Golden State, living in Sonoma, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and Los Angeles counties—Coastal California is my home and heart!

As a teen, I spent a few years in New Jersey, close enough to New York City to develop a lifelong obsession with museums and the arts. Beyond photography, I’m an avid reader and love getting lost in a great book. Hiking is another passion of mine—I find so much joy exploring trails, whether along the rugged coastline or through rolling oak-studded hills.

In 2022, I moved from L.A. to San Luis Obispo County, adding yet another coastal California county to my list of places I’ve called home. Now, I live in Templeton with my daughter, one fluffy cat, and a hilarious French bulldog, soaking in the beauty of the Central Coast every day.
