About

Idler’s Home opened in San Luis Obispo, CA by Bud and Avis Idler in 1954. Bud, a WWII veteran, started with one small downtown location that sold, delivered, and serviced major household appliances. It was the beginning of a true family business, with all five of Bud & Avis’s children helping daily. In the late 70s, Bud passed away and his son, Don Idler, took over the growing business. Idler’s Home has seen successful growth over the decades and now has over 80 employees with 5 locations on the Central Coast of California.

We offer major appliances, household furniture, mattresses, hot tubs, kitchen design services, and much more. Idler’s Home offers competitive pricing with a local approach to customer service.
